FOOTBALL – BAHRAIN’S youth women’s football national team lost to hosts Jordan 0-2 last night in their concluding Group B match of the West Asia Football Federation (WAFF) U17 Women’s Championship 2026, currently being played in Amman.
The Bahrainis conceded both goals in the second half – first in the 55th minute on a penalty and then again in the 86th minute following a mad scramble in the box.
The nationals suffered their second defeat of the tournament after earlier losing 1-2 against Palestine and they are now out of contention for the title.
The seven-team competition features Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE in Group A.
