CAPITAL Governor Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa opened the ‘Little Trader’ exhibition, organised by the Capital Governorate at The Avenues, with the participation of a group of young participants.
The exhibition comes as part of the initiatives of ‘Manama, Capital of Arab Youth Entrepreneurs’, aimed at promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship and developing the skills of young generations by providing a practical environment that enables them to showcase their projects and entrepreneurial experiences to the public.
The Governor affirmed that investing in youth and developing their entrepreneurial capabilities is an investment in the nation’s future.
He noted that the ‘Little Trader’ programme reflects the Capital Governorate’s approach to preparing a generation with the spirit of initiative and innovation, capable of transforming creative ideas into value-added projects, in line with national directions towards a knowledge- and production-based economy.
The Governor toured the exhibition’s booths, where he reviewed the projects and products presented by the participants and listened to a briefing on their entrepreneurial ideas.
The Governor later honoured the winning projects in the ‘Little Trader’ competition.
