Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) has announced the appointment of Ahmed Mohamed Janahi as its new chief executive officer, with effect from yesterday .
BAC chairman Khalid Hussain Taqi highlighted Mr Janahi’s extensive industry expertise, expressing full confidence in his ability to boost operational efficiency, elevate the passenger experience, and drive strategic priorities forward.
In response, Mr Janahi pledged to work alongside the board, team, and key partners to build on recent milestones, reinforce safety standards, and advance the kingdom’s National Aviation Strategy.
With over 20 years of experience spanning airport operations, airline leadership, safety, and corporate transformation, Mr Janahi previously served as BAC’s acting chief executive officer and chief airport operations officer. His career includes senior roles at Gulf Air and Oman Air, as well as board seats at Bahrain Airport Services (BAS) and Sabre Travel Network Middle East.
BAC noted that the leadership move underlines its ongoing commitment to empowering national talent to steer the next phase of development at Bahrain International Airport.
