Bahrain and the US discussed strengthening military co-ordination and defence co-operation during the 21st meeting of the Bahrain-US Joint Military Committee, held at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
Defence Affairs Minister Lieutenant-General Abdulla Al Nuaimi chaired the Bahraini side, while Michael P DiMino IV, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Near East and Central Asia, chaired the US side.
The two sides discussed items on the committee’s agenda aimed at further strengthening military co-ordination and defence co-operation between the two countries.
They also reviewed Bahrain-US relations and means to further develop co-operation, particularly in the military domain.
The meeting was attended by BDF General Command Financial and Technical Affairs Adviser Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, US Ambassador Stephanie Hallett and senior BDF officers.
