The three-time calisthenics world champion filmed himself riding the endangered green sea turtle at the Ras Al Jinz reserve in Ras Al Hadd, sparking widespread outrage online and prompting Oman's Environment Authority to initiate proceedings.
Oleynik posted an apology to the authority on social media, claiming he did not intend to harm the animal and was unaware of local conservation laws.
