The General Secretariat of the Shura Council and the British University in Bahrain signed a cooperation agreement covering training and scientific research, aimed at expanding joint work and exchanging expertise and specialised knowledge.
The agreement was signed by Shura Council Secretary-General Karima Mohammed Al Abbasi and British University in Bahrain President Dr Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi.
Al Abbasi said the agreement reflects the Secretariat’s commitment to developing training programmes and enhancing human resources through specialised academic expertise, while encouraging studies and research in relevant fields. She noted that the partnership will also support the development of specialised training and knowledge initiatives and contribute to enriching legislative and academic content.
Dr Janahi highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between academic institutions and national entities, noting that the partnership will support training initiatives, raise youth awareness of legislative work, and expand research cooperation through specialised studies, knowledge exchange and sharing of expertise.
The agreement is expected to serve as a foundation for joint training programmes and workshops, academic and scientific events, and studies and research in agreed areas.
