Oil and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed Bin Dinah chaired the 37th meeting of the GCC Petroleum Co-operation Committee, held in Bahrain.
The meeting was attended by the GCC energy ministers and Secretary-General Jassem Mohammed Al Budaiwi.
The oil and energy sector in GCC countries is key to global energy security and supports stability in international energy markets, the minister said.
He emphasised the need for continued co-ordination and closer alignment of policies in response to rapid economic, technological and geopolitical changes, while maintaining energy supply security and market stability.
