Two women have been arrested after allegedly stealing gold jewellery worth around BD8,000, the Interior Ministry said tonight.
The Capital Governorate Police Directorate received a report concerning the theft and immediately launched an investigation.
It led to the identification of the two suspects, described as Asian by the authorities, and their subsequent arrest.
The gold jewellery has been recovered.
Legal procedures are ongoing and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution.
