Oman has evacuated the crew of a Panama-flagged oil tanker following an attack in the Strait of Hormuz that left 12 sailors injured.
India’s External Affairs Ministry confirmed the injuries occurred after an unknown projectile struck the vessel as it navigated the strategic waterway.
The vessel was carrying a predominantly Indian crew at the time of the strike.
The injured crew members were transported to a hospital in Musandam for treatment.
