The Royal Oman Police has arrested a man in Dhofar governorate for impersonating a police officer and robbing two people.
The suspect allegedly assaulted two Asian nationals before stealing their cash and gold jewellery, according to an official statement.
He was detained on charges of impersonating a law enforcement officer and committing robbery by force.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect and he has been referred to public prosecution.
