The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) is supporting six high-potential Bahraini startups at the fourth edition of Fintech Forward 2026, held at Exhibition World Bahrain.
The two-day forum ending today convenes global thought leaders, financial innovators, and decision-makers to tackle key industry challenges, highlight high-growth investments, and strengthen the regional ecosystem.
Exhibiting under the Bahrain Pavilion, the six local firms — Tanami, Aman, ARP Digital, Shield Insurtech, Soor, and ME Platforms – are presenting their digital solutions to international investors and potential partners.
Boosting regional competitiveness, Tamkeen deputy chief executive of programme design and delivery Khalid Al Bayat reaffirmed the fund’s commitment to reinforcing Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for financial innovation.
“Tamkeen’s support provides these startups with a premier platform to showcase innovative solutions, establish strategic partnerships, and explore new avenues for expansion,” Mr Al Bayat said.
He noted that the initiative directly aligns with national efforts to sharpen private sector competitiveness and support high-impact economic sectors.
“With financial services contributing over 17 per cent to Bahrain’s GDP, backing enterprises in this space builds long-term economic value and drives sustainable growth,” Mr Al Bayat added.
Driving scale and integration building on previous editions that delivered cross-border deals and funding for local firms, Fintech Forward 2026 focuses on practical pathways to scale.
Key discussions centre on deeper integration across financial systems, regulatory frameworks, and tech infrastructure.
Tamkeen’s backing reflects its core mandate: delivering high-impact economic support, aligning local talent with market demands, and enabling private sector enterprises to scale sustainably.
