His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has ordered that Bahraini citizens be granted an exceptional opportunity to register retroactively, effective from May of this year, in the Electricity and Water Authority's (EWA) monthly Fixed Billing System for their first residences.
HRH Prince Salman further ordered that the full difference between the bills issued during this period and the average monthly bill throughout the year be credited to citizens' accounts with the Authority.
The order aims to enable citizens to better manage their financial commitments relating to electricity and water bills for their first residences, while avoiding fluctuations in bill amounts throughout the year.
HRH Prince Salman also ordered the Electricity and Water Affairs Minister to take the necessary measures to implement the order.
