The Government Forum on Combating Trafficking in Persons in the Middle East, which was organised by the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) in co-ordination with the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons, has recommended adopting an integrated joint GCC project to develop an artificial intelligence system and specialised training programmes.
The forum, which ended yesterday, brought together leading experts and representatives of countries with successful experiences in combating human trafficking.
Participants called for the use of modern technologies to support protection, prevention and prosecution efforts, as well as drawing on effective experiences to help change behaviour.
