Tough action has been proposed against foreign drivers who commit serious traffic offences in Bahrain, with MPs calling for their deportation after serving their sentences.
The proposal, led by MP Eman Shuwaiter and backed by four other legislators, calls on the government to study measures allowing the deportation of expatriates convicted of major traffic crimes, particularly repeat offenders involved in incidents causing serious injury or loss of life .
