Al Najma clinched the Bahrain Volleyball League title after defeating Al Ahli Club 3-0 in the third of the best of three finals at Bahrain Volleyball Association Sports Hall in Isa Town last night.
Al Najma won all three sets 26-24, 25-23 and 25-23.
Al Najma claimed the league title for the sixth time, after a gap of 13 years.
It was a special night for Al Najma’s coach Misha’al Turki, who celebrated the league title victory as a coach after winning it as a player in 2002-2003.
Al Ahli has won the first final 3-2, while Al Najma levelled the series by winning the second final 3-2 before Al Najma proved too strong in the deciding final.
Bahrain and Arab Volleyball Associations President Shaikh Ali bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, along with other officials, presented the silver medals to Al Ahli Club members, and the league trophy and gold medals to Al Najma Club members.
