Almost 80pc of new Covid-19 infections are a result of the new variant, it has emerged.
“The mutated virus is spreading quickly especially as a result of gatherings, hence it is important that all take vaccine as it will contribute to limiting the spread,” National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (COVID-19) monitoring committee head Lt Col Dr Manaf Al Qahtani said .
