A WALKATHON aimed at raising awareness about breast cancer and domestic violence is being held tomorrow.
The ‘Pink ‘n’ Purple Walk, organised by Women Across, will be held at Kanoo Garden in Gufool at 8.45am. Registration starts at 8.30am and entry is free.
“October is breast cancer and domestic violence awareness month and we believe it is important to stand alongside women facing these situations which is why we are hosting this one-kilometre walk,” said Women Across co-founder Sumithra Praveen.
The wife of Indian Ambassador to Bahrain Monika Srivastava and humanist and economist Dr Hana Kanoo will be the guests of honour.
