Bahrain celebrated Bahraini Doctor’s Day, which coincides with the first Wednesday of the month of November of every year.
At an event to mark the occasion and honour doctors working in the ministry, Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh said that dedicating a day to Bahraini doctors confirms the country’s keenness of Bahrain to support the work of doctors and recognise their role and achievements in serving the health sector and various fields.
She said that the world had last year and this year gone through a great challenge in combating the Corona virus (Covid-19). But thanks to God and with the support of His Majesty King Hamad and the efforts of the medical personnel, the kingdom was able to successfully overcome these challenges and win local, regional and international praise.
She expressed her deep pride in the national cadres working in the medical sector, stressing that doctors in Bahrain represent a role model in efficiency and achievement because of their high academic and professional attainments.
They are a real asset of the country. They presented wonderful stories of dedication in their efforts to protect people from Covid-19, she observed.
