  • <p>Workers collect iftar meals during the distribution drive</p> <p>Members of the local biker group Desi Riders have distributed 1,000 iftar packets to workers in Manama.</p> <p>The group, set up in 2006, has been providing hot meals as part of its annual Ramadan food drive since last month.</p> <p>It is common for charitable organisations, volunteers and individuals to collect and distribute meals to the less-fortunate during the holy month.</p>

  • <p>The Government Hospitals signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Roche to enhance co-operation with several medical specialities through the exchange of scientific expertise and support for training and educational programmes.</p> <p>Government Hospitals chief executive officer Dr Mariam Al Jalahma said this co-operation contributes to the continued development of national competencies and the enhancement of healthcare services provided to citizens and residents.</p> <p>Roche general manager Dr Ahmed Tawfiq said the MoU aims to support the exchange of expertise and modern medical practices, enhancing the quality of healthcare.</p>

Shaikh Hisham reviewed the professional certifications held by the programme members, affirming that they add value by strengthening professional and specialised capabilities and supporting the work system in line with the programme&rsquo;s strategic orientations to implement preventive and community initiatives in accordance with international best practices.</p> <p>He also honoured the staff members who obtained professional certifications.</p>
