  • <p>Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa honoured members of the security teams from the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, who succeeded in uncovering the circumstances of security cases and arresting the suspects. Chief of Police Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan and ministry Under-Secretary Shaikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa were present. The cases included the arrest of two Chinese nationals at the airport in connection with the theft of gold jewellery from a residence valued at approximately BD50,000; the arrest of two suspects for setting a fire and attempting to blow up an ATM of a national bank; and the arrest of two Asians involved in the murder of another person. The minister commended the high level of readiness and professionalism demonstrated by the honoured officers and non-commissioned officers, as well as their courage and swift response in handling incidents and security cases, in a manner that safeguards public safety and security. He emphasised that security efforts do not end with the arrest of offenders, but must also include strengthening security awareness to contribute to crime prevention.</p>

  • <p>Nasser Science and Technology Centre continued its specialised cybersecurity training programmes for national cadres across various institutions at the Cybersecurity Lab, launched in partnership with the National Cyber Security Centre.     Grand parade marks National Day

  • <p>His Majesty King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, yesterday attended the conclusion of the national virtual exercise, &lsquo;Azm Al Watan 1&rsquo; at the headquarters of the Supreme Defence Council General Secretariat.</p>
<p>The exercise was led by the Royal Guard of the Bahrain Defence Force. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Prime Minister, followed the exercise via video conference.</p>
<p>Following this, the King held a remote meeting with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and senior officials involved in the exercise, where he was briefed on the exercise and the efforts undertaken to ensure its success.</p>
<p>The King thanked the participants for their dedication in successfully completing the national exercise.</p>

  • <p>A band performs during the fourth edition of the Muharraq Nights Festival, which features an extensive music programme and is drawing strong public turnout and engagement.</p>
<p>These performances take place across several locations in historic Muharraq, coinciding with the Celebrate Bahrain Season 2025.</p>
<p>The festival presents more than 800 musical performances, featuring bands and artists from Bahrain and a number of Arab countries.</p>
