  • <p>Foreign Ministry Under-Secretary for Political Affairs Ambassador Khaled Yousef Al Jalahma yesterday received Honorary Consul of South Africa to Bahrain Mohamed Othman on the occasion of receiving his consular commission and commencing his duties.</p>
<p>Foreign Ministry Under-Secretary for Consular and Administrative Affairs Ambassador Talal Abdulsalam Al Ansari attended. Ambassador Al Jalahma congratulated the honorary consul on his appointment and discussed means to enhance relations and co-operation between Bahrain and South Africa in line with the shared interests and aspirations of both countries and their peoples.</p>

  • Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi led Bahrain’s delegation to the 23rd meeting of GCC housing ministers in Kuwait. They reviewed the 2024-2030 joint housing action plan, approved the final version of the unified regulations for joint property owners, and agreed to continue submitting updated housing statistics. It was also decided to hold the second Gulf Housing Conference in Kuwait this September and the fourth Gulf Housing Week in the UAE in 2026. Ms Al Romaihi emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to advancing GCC co-operation in sustainable and innovative housing, drawing on the outcomes of the Social Housing Innovation Summit held last April.
