His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday met Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, during his visit to the UAE to attend the National Day event hosted by the Bahrain Pavilion, at Expo 2020 Dubai.
He highlighted the depth of long-standing ties between Bahrain and the UAE, noting His Majesty King Hamad and UAE President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s commitment to advancing relations.
HRH Prince Salman commended Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed for the UAE’s successful hosting of Expo 2020 Dubai and expressed his best wishes for UAE’s continued progress and development. Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed welcomed HRH Prince Salman to the UAE and noted Bahrain’s participation at the expo.
Regional and international issues of common interest were discussed.
A number of senior officials also attended the meeting.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister also met UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner-General of Expo 2020 Dubai Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
