EVERY other day, I buy two to four pieces of fresh, soft, dark green and tender cucumbers for my two-year-plus child, as prescribed by a doctor for the treatment of constipation.
I usually used to buy them at 400 fils a kilo from a vendor or 490 fils from a supermarket.
Yesterday, I was shocked when I saw the cucumbers were being sold at BD1 a kilo! I did not have the courage to buy any, and returned home empty-handed.
