THIS is in reference to a report about a Chinese buffet restaurant in the UK charging £3 (BD1.500) extra from parents for bringing their babies along (@gdnonline, Instagram, September 19).
Why penalise the babies? They just behave like what they learn at home.
Learning starts at home, whether it is wasting food, water, or anything else. I would definitely not blame the babies. The humans from all age groups are responsible for this.
Dear parents, please pay attention to this; if healthier habits are not taught at home, there is a price to pay for that. A punishment is waiting for you guys. I wish this practice would be implemented all over the place, not only in restaurants, wherever there is wastage. At least the number of occurrences will be reduced.
However, if this is going to be a one-off incident, then only the particular restaurant will suffer. The competitors will take advantage of it; they just laugh at it, along with the long queue, waiting outside to shout at this concept. If the authorities don’t support this cause, nothing will change. Business will go on as usual. The poor restaurant may go bankrupt.
Babies, beware, adults are watching.
Adults, get ready to be ashamed of your babies.
Kudos to the restaurant for taking the initiative to inspire the public.
