The Government of Bahrain has listed eight additional government properties on its Government Land Investment Platform. The Kingdom is currently hosting CityScape Bahrain, the region’s largest real-estate exhibition.
The Assistant Undersecretary of Projects at the Prime Minister’s Office, Chair of the Government Lands Investment Committee Maryam Adnan Al-Ansari, confirmed the government’s commitment to encourage public-private partnerships through various investment projects and platforms.
Al-Ansari added that the government has launched the Government Land Investment Platform in April 2022, as part of its Economic Recovery Plan, with an aim to attract investments amounting to 2.5 billion dollars by 2023.
The eight listings on the platform include a plot in Zallaq with an area of 63,671.8 sqm, a 1,961 sqm property in Manama, a 1,566 sqm property in Bu Ghazal, two plots in Salman City at 1,826 sqm and 2,694 sqm respectively, a 648 sqm plot in East Hidd, a 14,412 sqm property in Um Al Hassam, and a 20,717 sqm plot in Hidd.
The plots and properties are listed by various government entities to be used for different projects ranging from educational ventures to multi-story parking complexes, and other investment projects.
Potential investors can bid on the official Land Investment Platform website (investmentland.gov.bh) which is linked to the Tender Board’s electronic bidding system.
