Finance and National Economy Minister Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has stressed Bahrain’s keenness to support promising sectors that boost national development, led by His Majesty King Hamad, with the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
Shaikh Salman made the remarks as he took part in the Financial Sector Conference in Riyadh. Senior officials and decision-makers in the financial industry are taking part in the event which will discuss challenges and developments.
Shaikh Salman expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to Saudi Arabia for hosting the important conference, which “constitutes a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences and expertise on developments in the financial sector”.
He noted the positive economic growth witnessed by Saudi Arabia and the region, supported by financial policies and legislation that spur the growth of the business environment.
“Bahrain attaches great importance to boosting the financial sector and supporting technology, innovation and digital transformation. We aim to develop effective solutions and strategies that contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of financial and banking institutions,” he said.
He stressed the importance of continuing efforts to develop promising sectors that contribute to providing many qualitative opportunities and increase trade flows and raise production.
He highlighted the importance of institutions that encourage innovation and support capital to achieve the desired economic growth and spur financial sustainability.
