A police officer in Carcassonne, France, has come under fire after video footage emerged on September 12 showing him violently throwing a homeless man to the ground during a music festival.

The victim, identified as 29-year-old Youssef E., died 13 days following the incident in June. A judicial review for 'intentional violence' has since been opened against the officer.
