A newly unveiled visa scheme for the UK will see travellers from Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Jordan get a multi-visit 2-year entry permit for the price of £10 (BD4.6).
The new scheme puts the rules for GCC travellers in line with other visitors, including US and Australian passport holders.
The new rules will go into effect on February 2024 and will replace the old Electronic Visa Waiver scheme in which GCC nationals had to pay £30 per visit.
Travellers will still be subject to pre-travel security checks, and will also be required to provide biographic and biometric details.
