Oil and Environment Minister and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs Dr Mohammed Bin Daina yesterday received EU Special Representative for the Gulf Region Luigi Di Maio, on the sidelines of the COP28 climate summit in Dubai.
The minister praised strong relations between Bahrain and the EU.
The two sides discussed opportunities to develop co-operation in vital sectors, including environmental, energy and climate.
Mr Di Maio praised growing Bahrain-EU relations, wishing the kingdom continued success in contributing to achieving a qualitative shift in the global climate action process and enhancing efforts to combat climate change.
