The Capital Governorate announced the launch of the ninth edition of Manama Entrepreneurship Week (MEW), in co-operation with the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) and more than 20 institutes.
MEW 2024 will be held from Sunday to April 25, under the theme ‘Smart Cities and Entrepreneurship.’
Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa said that the event aims to provide an opportunity for entrepreneurs, investors, and young people to share their expertise and build relations.
The governor emphasised that this year’s theme focuses on the vital role of entrepreneurs in driving the transformation of cities into smart and sustainable environments by using innovative technologies and concepts, in co-operation with government entities.
Shaikh Rashid said that the event aims to transform cities into smart ecosystems through technological advancement and innovation by shedding light on entrepreneurs who play a vital role in creating future cities.
The MEW 2024 will include various seminars and workshops, in partnership with Kuwait Finance House, BMMI, Ebrahim K. Kanoo, Al Arayedh Group Holding, University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, Hope Ventures, the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society, Global Shapers Community ‘Manama’, Global Shapers Community ‘Budaiya’, StartUp Bahrain, and other institutes.
