The winners of the Sastra Pratibha Contest 2024, organised by the Science International Forum (SIF) – Bahrain have been announced.
Students from seven schools in Bahrain took part in the Indian national science talent search contest.
The competition is a flagship initiative of SIF to ignite young minds, providing a platform for students to explore the wonders of science and fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation within the community.
The results, officially declared by Vijnana Bharati, were announced by SIF Bahrain advisory board chairman Dr Ravi Warrior at the SIF Bahrain office in Manama in the presence of school representatives and the SIF executive committee.
The winners are:
Grade 6 – Gunjan Pal (Bahrain Indian School), Pratham Sumeet Khopkar (New Millennium School), Sreenand Prasad (New Horizon School) and Aparnaa Mohan Raj (New Indian School).
Grade 7 – Shaurya Saxena (Bahrain Indian School), Arnav Singh Dewan (Bahrain Indian School), Helga Mary Jees (Asian School) and Joanne Tiby Mathew (Indian School Bahrain).
Grade 8 – Swastika Kiran Patil (New Horizon School), Mohit Bhardwaj (Al Noor International School) and Sivashree Perumal (Al Noor International School).
Grade 9 – Shayaan Ahamed (Asian School), Nirupama Menon (New Millennium School) and Daksh Choudhary (Bahrain Indian School).
Grade 10 – Krishna Kishore Patel (New Millennium School), Tanish Mukherjee (Asian School) and Rakshit Rajesh Mendon (Asian School).
Grade 11 – Akshatha Saravanan (Indian School), Pulkit Singla (New Indian School) and Darwina Manoj Amarnath (Bahrain Indian School).
Trophies and certificates will be presented to the winners during the Science Fiesta on December 20. Celebrated scientist and ‘Missile Woman of India’ Dr Tessy Thomas will be the chief guest at the event.
