The Indian community in Bahrain celebrated the country’s 76th Republic Day yesterday.
Ambassador Vinod Jacob raised the country’s flag during a ceremony held at the Indian Embassy in Seef District.
The event was attended by around 1,000 community members and school children.

A flag raising ceremony was organised by the Kerala Catholic Association members at its Segaiya headquarters
The diplomat also read out excerpts from an address by Indian President Droupadi Murmu and a visiting cultural troupe from Himachal Pradesh sang patriotic songs.
The ambassador later hosted a reception at the Crowne Plaza, Manama.
Attending were top government officials, diplomats, dignitaries and guests.
