The body of the man found at sea belongs to the missing Bahraini citizen, the Interior Ministry has announced.
The ministry sent a specialised team, accompanied by members of the deceased’s family to identify the body after receiving a report from the Qatari coastguard and border security officials.
The necessary procedures are being taken to return the body to Bahrain.
The ministry expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased and referred those responsible for the citizen’s death, who were with him on the boat, to the Public Prosecution for legal action.
The man fell from a boat and went missing at sea during an incident involving a trawler and the Coastguard about a week ago.
