Council for International Dispute Resolution Secretary General Professor Marike Patrani Paulsson held a high-level meeting with Indian Minister of State for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal on the sidelines of the UNCITRAL Celebratory Conference in India.
The meeting focused on further strengthening bilateral co-operation across legal, judicial, and investment channels.
Discussions addressed shared priorities between Bahrain and India, including the promotion of investment, legal and judicial collaboration, and ongoing efforts to build modern frameworks for the resolution of international disputes.
The meeting also explored means to support cross-border investment, strengthen institutional and legal ties and identify next steps for co-operation.
The meeting was also attended by UNCITRAL secretary Anna Joubin-Bret, India’s external affairs minister S Jaishankar, attorney general of India R Venkataramani, former additional solicitor general and Bahrain International Commercial Court judge Dr Pinky Anand and Bahrain Embassy representative Mahdi Jaafar.
