An event to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army was held at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel, Manama.
The ceremony was led by Chinese ambassador Ni Ruchi and attended by senior government officials, including Tourism Minister Fatima Al Sairafi, and representatives of the diplomatic corps, businessmen, MPs and VIPs.
Mr Ruchi gave a speech about the historic ties between Bahrain and China and ways of bolstering them over the upcoming years.
A high-profile Chinese military representative highlighted the importance of the occasion.
Several Chinese projects and products were also showcased on the sidelines of the event. Attendees signed a book that highlighted their love for China. A cake cutting ceremony was also held to mark the occasion.
