CRICKET – Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) high performance director Prachur Shukla has been honoured with the prestigious International Cricket Council (ICC) Long Service Award.
The accolade was presented to him by ICC chairman Jay Shah at the ICC Annual Conference 2026 held in Edinburgh, Scotland, in recognition of more than 20 years of outstanding voluntary service and exceptional contribution to the development of cricket.
The award represents not only a personal milestone for Shukla, but also a proud moment for Bahraini cricket, Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), and the kingdom.

On behalf of Alba, Alba CEO Ali Al Baqali, Alba chief human resources officer Fahad Danish, Alba chief supply officer Waleed Tamimi, Alba acting chief financial officer Ahmed Abdul Qader Ishaq, and Alba manager HR operations and PR Abdulla Seyadee, along with BCF advisory board chairman Mohammad Mansoor, congratulated Shukla on his achievement.
Shukla, who serves as Alba accounts payable head, has dedicated more than 21 years of service to the company while simultaneously making significant contributions to cricket in Bahrain and abroad as a volunteer. He was instrumental in launching the Alba Cricket Tournament in 2007 and establishing the Alba Club Cricket Academy, creating opportunities for hundreds of aspiring cricketers.
Internationally recognised as one of only 16 ICC master coach educators worldwide, Shukla has trained and certified more than 200 cricket coaches from multiple countries. In addition, as a diamond volunteer with INJAZ Bahrain, he continues to contribute actively to the development of Bahraini youth through Alba’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Shukla dedicated his award to Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman, and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who is a patron of cricket in the kingdom.
Shukla also expressed his gratitude to Mansoor, Alba management, and Al Baqali for their
continuous encouragement and support.
“Prachur’s recognition by the ICC is a testament to his extraordinary dedication, leadership, and passion for cricket development,” said Mansoor. “His contribution to Bahrain cricket has been invaluable, and this award reflects the impact he has made both locally and internationally.
“We are proud to see one of Bahrain’s cricket ambassadors receive such a prestigious honour.”
