Past and present Indian teachers who have served in schools, colleges and universities across Bahrain will be recognised for their contribution to education during an upcoming event organised by the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam (BKS).
The Teachers’ Excellence Award will be presented by Kerala High Court senior judge Devan Ramachandran during BKS Harmony 2026, which will take place on August 15 at Bolgatty Palace in Kochi.
BKS Harmony is the group’s annual gathering of Bahrain expatriates, hosted in a different city across Kerala each year. More than 1,000 Bahrain expatriates, including former residents and those currently on holiday in Kerala, are expected to attend this year’s event.
The gathering is expected to bring together government officials, public representatives, cultural personalities and members of the Bahrain expatriate community. According to the organisers, Kerala Chief Minister V D Satheesan will also attend.
