Youth Affairs Minister Rawan Tawfiqi affirmed that artificial intelligence (AI) is one of the most prominent enablers that young people can employ in creating solutions and creating opportunities, pointing to the importance of keeping pace with rapid technological transformations, investing in the capabilities of young people and developing their digital skills.
This came during a talk session held at Youth City 2030 under the title ‘Inspiring Youth Experiences in Artificial Intelligence’, with the participation of Information Ministry adviser for communication and international relations and head of the artificial intelligence team Muhannad Suleiman.
The session discussed the experiences of young people in the field of artificial intelligence, and reviewed opportunities that modern technologies offer them, in addition to exploring ways to develop the skills and knowledge that enable them to employ artificial intelligence in creating solutions, innovating projects and anticipating future opportunities.
The minister praised the innovative experiences and ideas presented by Bahraini youth in the field of artificial intelligence, stressing that empowering youth with modern technology tools enhances their ability to think creatively and transform knowledge into impactful applications and projects, in line with the needs of the labour market and supporting their competitiveness.
She pointed out that holding the talk session at Youth City 2030 reflects the integrated youth environment that the city provides, combining dialogue, learning and experience, and the diverse training programmes it offers, including specialised programmes in artificial intelligence and modern technologies.
During the session, the young participants shared their experiences and initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence, showcasing the most prominent ideas and applications they have developed, and highlighting the opportunities for learning, experimentation, and innovation that modern technologies have provided them. They also exchanged views on the future of artificial intelligence and its role in developing solutions and creating new opportunities.
For their part, the young participants expressed their thanks and appreciation to the minister for providing this space for dialogue, stressing the importance of the ‘Hadith’ sessions in providing an interactive environment that allows young people to present their ideas, exchange their experiences and expertise, and benefit from direct discussion with officials and experts, which motivates them to continue learning, creativity and innovation, and to contribute effectively to the development process in the kingdom.
