Mr Al Saleh also received Sri Lankan Ambassador to Bahrain Shereen Shanika Dissanayake .
He commended the ambassador’s diplomatic efforts to strengthen ties between the two countries and enhance co-operation and co-ordination across various domains.
Mr Al Saleh highlighted the Shura Council’s keenness to strengthen parliamentary relations with Sri Lanka.

She affirmed that Bahrain is a country of peace and harmony, and that it prospers through its security, stability, tolerance and coexistence among all.
The ambassador noted that there are several areas of cooperation with the Kingdom, particularly in trade and investment, and affirmed the commitment to strengthening trade, economic and tourism relations for the benefit of both countries and their peoples.
