Indonesian community marked the country’s 81st Independence Day with a flag-raising ceremony.
The event, led by Ambassador Ardi Hermawan at the Indonesian Embassy, brought together embassy diplomatic staff, members of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) women’s association and hundreds of diaspora members representing various professional sectors across the kingdom.
“This 81st Independence Day serves as a critical milestone to fortify our collective solidarity while living abroad,” said Mr Hermawan.
“The exceptional cohesion demonstrated by our community in Bahrain is instrumental in advancing Indonesia’s cultural and economic diplomacy on the global stage. We remain deeply grateful for the unwavering spirit and civic contributions of our citizens here.”
Following the formal military-style flag-raising procession executed by a youth diaspora cohort, the embassy hosted a cultural reception.
