Police Chief Lieutenant General Tariq Al Hassan and UK’s Home Office Deputy Director of International Strategies Mark Challen chaired the Joint Security Working Group meeting between the Interior Ministries of Bahrain and the UK.
The meeting was held via video conference and attended by Major General Mohammed Abdulla Al Harram, Assistant Chief of Police for Operations and Training, and representatives of security authorities from both countries.
Lt Gen Al Hassan expressed appreciation to Mr Challen and the members of both teams for their continued co-operation and efforts to achieve common objectives.
He commended the longstanding relations between Bahrain and the UK, highlighting the importance of the meeting and the interests it represents for the two countries and peoples.
The meeting reviewed latest security developments and discussed means to develop co-operation and exchange expertise and experience.
The meeting also addressed future areas of co-operation to develop the work of security directorates.
