Bahrain has welcomed the success of the UAE’s mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine, which resulted in a new prisoner exchange involving 206 persons from both sides.
In a statement, the Foreign Ministry described the exchange as a positive and constructive humanitarian step that supports de-escalation efforts and advances prospects for a peaceful resolution to the Ukraine crisis.
It expressed the kingdom’s appreciation for the diplomatic and humanitarian efforts led by the UAE, which have contributed to the release of 7,997 prisoners through 26 mediation efforts since the outbreak of the Ukraine crisis.
