Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif Al Zayani yesterday received UN under-secretary general and executive secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Dr Rania Al Mashat.
Dr Al Zayani commended ESCWA’s efforts to support sustainable development and economic integration across the Arab region.
The meeting reviewed co-operation between Bahrain and ESCWA and ways to further develop it in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Dr Al Mashat was also received by Labour and Legal Affairs Minister Yusuf Khalaf.
The meeting reviewed areas of co-operation between Bahrain and ESCWA, and discussed means to benefit from successful experiences in supporting the development of labour and development policies.
