His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, today visited the General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF).
He was received by BDF Commander-in-Chief Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa and several other senior officers.
HRH Prince Salman affirmed the BDF's advanced capabilities and combat readiness, supported by His Majesty King Hamad, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and stressed the competence and capabilities of its service members in defending the kingdom and safeguarding its sovereignty.
He commended the dedication of BDF personnel in performing their duties, which, through the integration of efforts with the military, security and civilian sectors, has contributed to safeguarding the kingdom's citizens, security and stability.
He expressed his pride and appreciation for the BDF, National Guard, Interior Ministry, and all military, security, and civil authorities for their efforts and high level of readiness in defending the kingdom and supporting its development endeavours.
During the visit, HRH Prince Salman was briefed on the strategic plans to develop the BDF's weapons and units, enhance the efficiency and capabilities of its personnel, and equip them with the latest military systems.
He affirmed that the advanced levels achieved across all BDF units and divisions are the result of the dedicated and continuous efforts of Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa.
HRH Prince Salman expressed his thanks and appreciation to all BDF personnel for their dedication, which embodies the highest levels of devotion and sacrifice in service of the nation. He wished them continued success in performing their national duties and achieving the kingdom's aspirations.
