Supreme Council for Health (SCH) president Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa attended the conclusion of the American Mission Hospital Internal Medicine Conference.
The conference was organised by the American Mission Hospital in co-operation with Education Plus and Mayo Clinic.
The event was attended by Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed and health officials as well as leading doctors, consultants and specialists from Bahrain and abroad.
The SCH president said organising and hosting specialised medical conferences and events reflects Bahrain’s continued focus on developing the health sector and investing in national talent.
He noted that such conferences provide opportunities to exchange expertise and knowledge and learn about the latest medical developments and practices.
The Health Minister said continuing medical education is essential for keeping pace with rapid advances in health sciences and technologies and strengthening the ability of medical and healthcare workers to apply the latest knowledge and clinical practices.
