Malaysia’s 69th National Day was celebrated in Bahrain with a flag-raising ceremony over the weekend.
The special event, held under the theme ‘Kesejahteraan Dinikmati’ (Shared Prosperity), took place at the residence of Malaysian Ambassador Dato’ Shazryll Zahiran.
Longstanding ties between Malaysia and Bahrain were celebrated at the ceremony, which brought together members of the Malaysian diaspora in Bahrain alongside distinguished alumni of the Malaysian Technical Co-operation Programme.
In addition to raising the flag, attendees recited their national pledge and reaffirmed their loyalty.
Mr Zahiran called upon Malaysians in Bahrain to uphold their foundational values, while further strengthening diplomatic and cultural ties between Malaysia and Bahrain.
