ATHLETICS – BAHRAIN’S senior athletics national team are stepping up their overseas training camp in Malaysia as the 20th Asian Games officially get underway tomorrow in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. The squad features several of the kingdom’s leading sprinters, distance-running specialists, and competitors taking part in field events. They are aiming to reach peak technical and physical condition to participate in the Asiad’s athletics competition, which is scheduled for Wednesday next week to September 29 at Nagoya’s 30,000-capacity Paloma Mizuho Stadium, which will host tomorrow’s opening ceremony.
