Bahrain yesterday condemned the continued terrorist attacks carried out by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, including an attack targeting Taif Governorate with a drone.
A Yemeni living in Saudi Arabia was killed in the drone interception.
A Saudi woman and a Pakistani resident were also injured in the interception.
Falling debris also caused material damage to several buildings and vehicles.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement, described the attack as a flagrant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, the United Nations Charter and relevant Security Council resolutions.
It reiterated Bahrain’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its unequivocal support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability and protect its citizens and residents.
It emphasised that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia are an integral part of Bahrain’s national security, expressing sincere condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased resident, and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
The ministry reiterated Bahrain’s call for the Security Council to assume its responsibilities and adopt a firm stance to halt repeated Houthi terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
