THE Health Ministry last night said it is extending Covid-19 related precautionary measures.
In response to decisions taken by the Government Executive Committee, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, the ministry has extended Covid-19 related precautionary measures for an additional three months, in line with recommendations from the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
Under the decision, the provisions of resolution no (38) of 2020, concerning health requirements and procedures at commercial and industrial premises, have been extended for an additional three months upon expiration on February 28, it said.
A decision concerning social distancing measures practised at commercial and industrial premises, has also been extended for three months upon expiration on February 28.
A resolution concerning the health screening of workers employed at commercial and industrial premises, has been extended for an additional three months upon expiration on February 28.
The suspension of service fees for foreigners attending health centres and of fees for general medical consultations for non-Bahrainis have been also been extended.
The ministry underlined the importance of remaining vigilant and adhering to precautionary measures in support of ongoing Covid-19 mitigation efforts.
