Yes and even imported meat in supermarkets are very expensive now. If there’s an occasion, they increase the prices and never turn it back after that. Now the prices are doubled from last year.

Due to the coronavirus situation all cold stores, supermarkets and hypermarkets had increased the price of vegetables but now that the situation has changed, veggies are available and imports are easy why are these vendors still taking such a huge margin on veggies.

It’s because businesses importing the products are thieves and want to profit 1,000 per cent. Secondly, lack of regulation to monitor the ridiculous margins put on products.

Too late. When the price of chicken or flour is same why are shawarma and biryani so expensive? Price mafia has increased the prices of everything slowly.
