Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Alzayani stressed the importance of bilateral relations binding Bahrain and the US.
Addressing a work luncheon in Washington, he highlighted steadily-growing trade ties, supported by joint agreements, exchanged visits and commercial programmes.
The event was held on the sidelines of the minister’s official visit to the US during which he held meetings with think tanks based in Washington.
Bahrain’s Ambassador to Washington Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa and assistant under-secretary for domestic and external trade Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa attended.
The minister stressed the pivotal role played by think tanks in supporting exchanged expertise between the countries to conduct research and providing consultancy regarding trade policies and emerging technologies.
